Every camera we offer carries a story. Carefully sourced, professionally refurbished, and fully tested, each piece is thoughtfully prepared to continue its journey with you. 

For complete transparency, every camera is filmed during its final functional test and packaging process, capturing its condition at the moment it leaves our studio.

Please take a moment to carefully read our Return Policy before finalizing your order. By ordering from Rethrowback Studio, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined below.

This Return Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Sale.

What is our return policy?

We offer a 14-day return policy. You have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us of your intention to return an item. Once your returrn request is approved, the item must be shipped back within 14 days.

IMPORTANT: Returns sent without prior email authorization may be refused.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition as received, with all included accessories (battery, charger, SD card, cables, straps, etc.) and accompanied by proof of purchase (invoice or receipt)

Please take care when handling cameras as we cannot accept any items that have been physically forced or damaged.

1 - Right of Withdrawal (Non-Defective Returns)

In accordance with EU and French law, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days of receiving your order

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer.

2 – Faulty or Damaged Items

All cameras are fully tested, refurbished, and filmed prior to shipment. However, due to the nature of vintage electronic equipment, unexpected functional issues may occasionally occur.

If your camera arrives faulty or damaged in functionality, return request must be done within 14 days following delivery

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item, allowing us to promptly resolve the issue. 

A full, continuous, and uncut unboxing video is required, clearly showing: the unopened parcel and shipping label, the complete unboxing process, the camera and a functional test demonstrating the issue. 

Once your return is authorized, the item must be shipped back for inspection. 

If the issue is confirmed and not caused by misuse:

  • A full refund will be issued

  • Return shipping costs will be reimbursed upon presentation of valid proof of payment

3 - General Return Conditions 

All returns must meet the following conditions:

  • Return request submitted within 14 days of delivery

  • Item shipped back within 14 days after approval

  • Item returned in the same cosmetic and mechanical condition as received

  • All original accessories included (battery, charger, SD card, cables, straps, etc.)

  • No signs of misuse, damage, or modification

All returned cameras are systematically tested and cross-checked against our pre-shipment functional footage. So, we kindly ask Customers to provide accurate, honest and complete information when submitting a return request.

4 - Refused Returns

We reserve the right to refuse a return in the following cases:

  • No prior return request submitted and approved by email

  • Product intentionally damaged, dropped, or used in an inappropriate or unsuitable manner

  • Signs of misuse, improper handling, or unauthorized modification

  • Item returned dirty, heavily soiled, or in a condition that prevents it from being resold as a second-hand product

  • Missing one or more original accessories (battery, charger, cables, straps, etc.)

  • Return does not comply with the conditions outlined in this Return Policy.

We kindly ask Customers to provide accurate and honest information when submitting a return request.

If a return is refused, the item will be returned to you at your expense or held until return shipping fees are paid.
Initial shipping costs are not refundable for refused returns.

5 - Return Shipping & Packaging 

Return items must be securely packaged using adequate protective materials (bubble wrap, sturdy box). 

The Customer remains fully responsible for the item until it is received by Rethrowback Studio. 

If an item is damaged during return transit due to insufficient packaging, the return will be refused and the item returned to you at your expense, without refund.

We strongly recommend using tracked and insured shipping, as the item remains your responsibility until it reaches our studio.

Rethrowback Studio is not liable for loss, damage, or delays occurring during return transit.

Any import taxes, customs duties, or related charges incurred during return shipping remain the responsibility of the Customer.

6 - Value Adjustment 

If the returned item shows signs of use, missing accessories, or wear not present at dispatch, a partial refund deduction (between 10% and 50%) may apply to cover loss of value and refurbishment costs.

7 - How do I make a return?

1. Contact us at rethrowbackstudio@gmail.com within 14 days of delivery to initiate a return request
Please include the following information in your email (subject line: Return Request):

  • Product name

  • Order number

  • Date of purchase

  • Reason for return

  • Full name

  • Email address used for the order

  • A copy of your invoice attached

2. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email with return instructions, including the return address and packaging guidelines.

3. Carefully package the item in the same condition as received, including the camera, all original accessories, the return form, and a copy of the invoice.
Please ensure the parcel is securely sealed, as the item remains your responsibility until it reaches our studio. 

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the Customer and will be deducted from the refunded amount, except in the case of an error or a verified defective item upon delivery.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service. We cannot be held responsible for lost, damaged, or delayed returns during transit.
Please note that we are not liable for any import taxes, duties or customs charges incurred. 

4. Ship the parcel via your local postal office and retain the shipping receipt until your return has been fully processed.

5. Once received, your return will be inspected within 5 business days.
If approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method within 10-14 business days. Additional processing time may apply depending on your bank or payment provider.

8 - Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified by email. 
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10-14 business days. 
Please note that initial shipping costs are non-refundable, except in the case of verified faulty or incorrect items.

9 - Cancellations

Order cancellations are only possible within 24 hours of purchase and before shipment. 
Once a tracking number is issued, cancellations or address changes are no longer possible. 
Once dispatched, the standard Return Policy applies.

10 - Exchanges

Since our cameras are unique “one-of-a-kind” pieces, exact exchanges are usually impossible. We handle these on a case-by-case basis.

11 - A note on Second Hand Equipment

All items sold by Rethrowback Studio are pre-owned vintage products. They may show minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with their age.

We ensure that any significant signs of use are clearly documented in our product photos and descriptions.
